VIRGINIA M. LEWIS -

Virginia M. Lewis, age 82, of Kirkwood, DE went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Virginia was a long time member of Fairwinds Baptist Church. She enjoyed trips to the Smokey Mountains, keeping in touch with friends, and reading. Most of all Virginia was a beloved wife, loving mother, and adored grandmother.

Virginia’s memory will be cherished by her husband of 62 years, Edgar Lewis; two sons, Edward and wife, Sherry, and Donald and wife, Cheryl; and six grandchildren, Jennifer, Don and wife, Allison, Rebecca and husband, Shawn, Melissa, Timothy, and Jonathan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphia and Giles Sage; and three brothers, James, Bill and Robert Sage.

A visitation for family and friends was held Monday, July 25, 2011 from 11 am – 12 noon at the Fairwinds Baptist Church, 801 Seymour Rd., Bear, DE 19701 followed by a service in celebration of Virginia’s life at 12 noon. Burial was private.
