She had numerous nieces and nephews.
Pauline was descended from a long line of pioneer families. Her Lowe ancestors include Abraham and Jacob, who are listed among the founders of Johnson County, TN in the early 1800’s.

Pauline loved beauty. She played the piano, had a perfect alto voice, and enjoyed raising flowers. She was best known for her poetry, which she often wrote to celebrate special occasions of her friends and family. She adored her family and held to a simple but enduring faith in God. Pauline flourished for many years after she came to North Carolina to live closer to her daughter, but after her health declined she was cared for by the Laurels of Hendersonville, and for the past two years, by Four Seasons Hospice.
